4.2 Sharitude: Wabanaki Health Consultant

Cheyenne Joseph is a Registered Nurse (RN), who specializes in public health and health systems. Her home community is L’sitkuk First Nation, NS and she has lived with her husband in Elsipogtog First Nation, NB for many years. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in public health (DrPH) at the University of Toronto. She has worked in many sectors including community, academia, government, not-for-profit and small business. She is currently the Associate Vice-President, of Indigenous Engagement at the University of New Brunswick.

Her work consistently strives to solve complex health and social issues by navigating the uncharted waters referred to as the "messy middle" in change journeys. As a change agent, she fosters creative and collaborative environments, ensuring that every voice is heard and every perspective is valued.

We help guide you through the complexities of reconciliation with Wabanaki communities, illuminating a path that equips you and your team with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective collaboration and sustainable relationships. Our offerings include educational workshops designed to foster understanding and support meaningful connections. Our why: to build sustainable relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities through open dialogue and shared experiences.
