The Porch At Friar's Bay
Dianna and Taylor are passionate about the island. Dianna grew up on Campobello Island and Taylor, her daughter-in-law, a young indigenous entrepreneur, on St. Mary’s First Nation, New Brunswick. They both channel a local understanding In their cooking to create food that represents this unique and beautiful place.
They have updated the menu, which will feature locally sourced food such as soups, sandwiches, specialty salads, and burgers. As the season progresses, new entrees, seafood chowders and daily specials will be added. They will also be introducing The Porch at Friar’s Bay Box Lunches and Breakfast Takeaway Boxes for guests. Dianna brings extensive island connections to The Porch, which will now feature local art shows, music nights and other special events throughout the season.
Dianna has worked at The Lupine Lodge on Campobello Island. She is also Chair of Fog Fest, a long-standing local musical event that is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in July. Taylor brings extensive food service and concessions experience, and she recently completed a Business Management program.
Our 2024 season is off to a great start, opening on Mother’s Day weekend to celebrate all the wonderful mothers. Our management team of Dianna Parker and Taylor Davidson, members of the Campobello community, return for their 3rd season. The Porch offers a delicious variety of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We are excited to once again offer music nights, paint & sip nights, local crafts and art to purchase, other special events and of course a “porch” to watch the island’s spectacular sunsets.
