The Porch At Friar's Bay
Dianna and Taylor are passionate about the island. Dianna grew up on Campobello Island and Taylor, her daughter-in-law, a young indigenous entrepreneur, on St. Mary’s First Nation, New Brunswick. They both channel a local understanding In their cooking to create food that represents this unique and beautiful place.
They have updated the menu, which will feature locally sourced food such as soups, sandwiches, specialty salads, and burgers. As the season progresses, new entrees, seafood chowders and daily specials will be added. They will also be introducing The Porch at Friar’s Bay Box Lunches and Breakfast Takeaway Boxes for guests. Dianna brings extensive island connections to The Porch, which will now feature local art shows, music nights and other special events throughout the season.
Dianna has worked at The Lupine Lodge on Campobello Island. She is also Chair of Fog Fest, a long-standing local musical event that is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in July. Taylor brings extensive food service and concessions experience, and she recently completed a Business Management program.
We are excited to kick off the 2022 season with new management and a great new menu! Dianna Parker and Taylor Davidson, local members of the Friars Bay community bring a combined 40 years of food service and tourism industry experience. Their extensive knowledge of the history and area will infuse the menu with a local feel. They will be introducing The Porch at Friar’s Bay Box Lunches and Breakfast Takeaway Boxes for guests.
The Porch will also feature local art shows, music nights and other special events throughout the season.
